Picnics in children’s pop up tents and reading bedtime stories by the light of a GoGlow®, our team talks about their favourite Worlds Apart products

Many of us here at Worlds Apart are parents too and we (very excitedly) take our products home to use within our own families. And here’s the proof! We asked our team to tell us about the products they use at home and what they love about them. From children’s pop up tents and ride-on toys to night lights and torches they seem to have a rather big Worlds Apart collection going on at home!

Tim Leadsford is our International Sales Manager. His little boy is 2 years old.

Which Worlds Apart products do you use the most at home?
The GoGlow Night Light, Junior Trampoline, Rock n Rolla ride-on, the Skoot ride-on, a My First ReadyBed, the Cars Lightning McQueen Toddler Bed and the Cars Wall Stickers.

Quite a few then! What do you love about them?
The ride-ons are well designed, safe and just the right size for him. He burns energy on the trampoline, which is stable, safe and never seems to get boring! At bedtime, the GoGlow Night Light and the Wall Stickers have quickly become part of his routine, and he feels like a big boy sleeping in his Cars Toddler Bed!

What do your kids love about them?
My little boy is a very active and physical boy for his age, so he loves the ride-ons and uses them pretty much everyday. He is still a bit young to use the GoGlow as a torch, but both Mum and Dad use it to find things in the night (if he has kicked teddy out of bed!) and he likes the night light function. We have done a lot of camping this summer and sleeping in his My First ReadyBed in the tent has been exciting!

How have they made a difference to you and your kids?
I sold the Worlds Apart products for many years before having a child of my own and it is now a different world selling them as a parent. They all seem to solve a problem, rather than being just another toy or clutter in your child’s bedroom!

I think the Toddler Bed concept, for the transition from a cot to a junior bed, is a real winner. It gives him his own space at a very early age, and when you add his favourite character you’ve got a bed he actually wants to stay in!

Julia Rowe is our Senior Credit Controller. Her daughter is 7 years old.

Which Worlds Apart products do you use the most at home?
The Hello Kitty GoGlow Light.

What do you love about it?
Our GoGlow is a fantastic night light that is not too bright, but gives off a glow all night. If my daughter wakes up during the night, it isn’t pitch black and she can still see a little bit.

How has it made a difference to you and your kids?
Bedtime is definitely easier, as my daughter is a little scared of the dark. The light provides a soft glow and seems to help her drift off to sleep.

Jo Major is our Head of Compliance. Her children are 5 years and 21 months old.

Which Worlds Apart products do you use the most at home?
Our Toddler Trampoline and the Play Tent and Tunnel

What do you love about them?
The Toddler Trampoline is low to the ground, so my little one can climb on by himself and start jigging up and down. The Play Tent and Tunnel are great for the two of them to play with together.

What do your kids love about them?
The Toddler Trampoline gives my son independence, as he likes to climb things by himself. The Play Tent and Tunnel are great for role-play and playing together as they chase each other through it. They make dens inside the play tent with cushions to hide from mummy! We often have picnics inside too, so it’s great for having a mini-adventure without leaving the house.

How have the products made a difference to you and your kids?
They keep them active, even when it’s raining or cold and dark outside.
The products are also great for them to play with together, which helps with sibling bonding – and I can join in too!

James Austin-Smith is our R&D Concept Manager and his children are 5 and 8 years old.

Which Worlds Apart products do you use the most at home?
The GoGlow Pal, GoGlow Hero, Skoot, Wobbledeck and our ReadyBed.

What do you love about them?
I love seeing the kids play with something I have helped create. That, and seeing something I worked hard on being used the way it was intended – not just talking about who will buy it and how will it work, but seeing it for real, in the life of a child.

What do your kids love about them?
They like reading in bed with their GoGlow toys. My 5 year old takes the Spidey GoGlow Pal to sleepovers with him.

How have they made a difference to you and your kids?
It’s hard to say as they’ve grown up with the Worlds Apart stuff (I don’t know what life would have been like without them). They’re just a part of life!
